Quick Confidence Tips for YOU…

Confidence Starts with You!

Quick Confidence Tips…

These quick tips are meant to inspire you in the moment. To shift your perspective. To let you know…You’ve got this!

~~~~
Practice progression over perfection.
Practice. Fail. Learn. Repeat.
And the one that often gets overlooked?
FORGIVE.
Remember...you’re human.
~~~~

Before you listen to the voice in your head…

…make sure it’s yours.

~~~~
Every expert, without exception, started out as a beginner.
Remember this the next time you’re thinking you “should” be…“you fill in the blank” here…
Confidence comes from doing.
~~~~

You may have heard that comparison is the thief of joy. It’s also not great for growing your confidence! Stay in your own lane and remember…you’re exactly where you need to be…right here…right now.

~~~~
Stop comparing your ordinary day to someone else’s highlight reel.
They’re called highlights for a reason…
Nobody lives like that all the time!
~~~~

When someone says, “If I was in your shoes I’d…”

Take a breath, and allow yourself to hear your own voice…

They’re not in your shoes.

Trust Yourself.

~~~~
Starting something new?
Remember…
Two steps forward…three steps back…
This is a part of the process.
Be kind. Be patient. Be consistent.
You’re doing great!
~~~~

You’re never going to feel:

Ready enough.

Confident enough.

Prepared enough.

Whatever your “enough” is…

to do that thing you want to do.

Remember, no one has it all figured out. No one. Start now. Take one step. You’ve got this.

~~~~
Fear is a liar.
It magnifies what can go wrong
and…
minimizes what can go right.
It’s a cognitive bias…what you focus on grows.
Pay attention…what are you focusing on?
~~~~

It's never as bad as you think it's going to be.

Remember…you've:

Done new things before…

Done difficult things before…

Failed before…

Taken a risk before…

and realized that all of them were worth it!

You’ve got this!

~~~~
Unless you’ve done something wrong and really have a reason to, STOP saying Sorry!
~~~~

Instead of people pleasing and seeking approval…Set some BOUNDARIES. That’s it.

~~~~
Stop playing small. The world needs what you have to offer.
Instead…
Show up. Be yourself. Speak up. Take up space!
And watch your confidence soar!
~~~~

Stop getting in your own way.

Instead, how about…

Less Overthinking and Self-Doubt

and more…

Self-Trust and Action.

~~~~
Sometimes being ready is a feeling
and,
sometimes, it’s a decision.
Where do you need to make a decision?
~~~~

Growing your confidence is messy.

Why?

Because like any skill…

You're going to have to risk comfort for growth…safety for failure.

So...pick one thing in service of growing your confidence and go get messy!!

~~~~
Growing confidence requires letting go of:
Expectations.
Judgement.
Beliefs.
Impatience.
All of these are yours and within your span of control…
Where do you want to start?
~~~~

Remember to ask for help!

Confident people know they don’t have it all figured out and they know when to ask for help.

How about you?

When was the last time you asked for help?

~~~~
Trust your instincts!
Before you start to overthink…take a moment. Get curious about the information you have in that moment… usually in your gut or heart.
That’s often where the gold is.
~~~~

Every now and then check in with your self-talk and ask yourself:

Is this helping me grow my confidence?

Or…

Is this stopping me from growing my confidence?

Noticing is the first step in course correction…

~~~~
Be patient.
When you're growing a new skill it takes time and it takes practice.
Be gentle with yourself and see how that helps move you along.
~~~~

Stop taking yourself so seriously!

Yes, there's a time and place for seriousness and...

...there's probably room for you to let your guard down and show your humanity...

Start noticing and see what happens.

~~~~
Stop hiding.
As humans, we often wear a mask to "fit in.”
By doing so, we may inadvertently be hiding the very part of us that makes us "real" to others. The part that lets them also be themselves.
What's one little part of you that you're ready to share?
~~~~

Say YES!

Say yes BEFORE...

You have it all figured out.
You feel ready.
It's "perfected".

Say YES and then go figure it out!
